Red Beach or Playa del Corcho Vieques

Red Beach or Playa del Corcho also called after the area 'Caracas' ( with Garcia Beach in the background) is one of the more popular beaches, there are gazebos lining the beach. You must get to Red Beach through the US Fish and Wildlife Reserve which is open 6 AM to sunset. The Reserve consists of more than half of Vieques Island, Puerto Rico.

Beautiful Blue Beach has several great opportunities for snorkeling. Around the rocks seen above on the right and around the west side of the island on the left of photo.

If you walk along to the beach to the closest point to the island you can practically walk across, but you should be a strong swimmer to do this.
