Las Croabas Fishermen can be found at the dock

Raymundo Hernandez

RETIRED. Fisherman and father of seven sons, all of whom are fishermen, boat operators. One of his sons, Roberto, built his own sailboat but no longer sails it for hire. Raymundos' son Diego (below) has one of the nicest motorboats.

Freddy Rodriguez

RETIRED. Freddies sailboat 'Albergimaran' no longer makes day sails. He has a motorboat now and runs trips into the bioluminescent bay at night, when there's no moon. A very responsible and industrious man.

Diego Hernandez

Diego has a very nice motorboat and is responsible and reliable. He can take you to Icacos or fishing. He is working on some guestrooms in Fajardo to rent out.

Water so clear and clean, several reefs to snorkel on, shade provided by bushes and coconut trees! The reefs between Icacos Cay and the reefs around the protruding rock called 'Cucaracha' are the better snorkeling. The reef off the beach is pretty nice too and easier for the less experienced snorkeler. The North side or Windward side of Icacos is lined with lava rock and fascinating to walk upon (with shoes on) there are several blow holes too. Icacos used to be mined for limestone, the old quarry is still there.
